Fox &Laurel Canyon Community Park &Garden Ground-Breaking!

This Thursday!  Pacoima Beautiful,along with the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust,LA City Councilmember Richard Alarcón,San Fernando High School,Youth Speak Collective,and VEDC,will be celebrating the Ground-Breaking of the new Fox and Laurel Canyon Community Park on Thursday,April 19th at 10am. This location has been empty and unused for anything other than a bus stop,and is especially exciting for our youth who pass this spot every day on their way to and from school. This celebration will initiate the plans to realize the lot as a community garden and park.  It’s great to be part of  a project that  works on creating useful community space that betters our environment,and we would love for our community to be there.  See our flyer (in English or Spanish) for more info and come join us!
