Cal Poly Pomona students in Professor Lehrman’s Landscape Architecture class recently put together videos describing some of the issues we face in the San Fernando Valley,possibilities for the future,and interviewed our staff. All three projects propose community gardens and improvements to public spaces –which we are currently working on!
The River that Could
This is a great overview of our Pacoima Wash work and our concern for improving water quality and providing parks at the same time! It also showcases some exciting ideas from the students themselves. This film is by Rico Molden,Carly McNeill,and Garrett Reger.

This film gives an overview of the environmental burdens we’re up against,our work here at PB. It also showcases the students’proposals to create an “urban quilt”by turning the Sunshine Canyon Landfill site into a community asset,and promoting health through Green Streets.
