We’re almost there! Pacoima Beautiful is proud to be a part of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life coming up on June 2nd and 3rd. Relay For Life is a unique 24-hour event to increase cancer awareness in our community while raising much-needed funds for the American Cancer Society. Each Team has at least 10 people,who take turns walking or running around a track. Pacoima Beautiful has both a staff team,the Environmentalists,as well as a member team –our member leader Sofia has raised $300 so far! Also,our amazing Safer Homes health promoters Amelia and Maria are making us proud as the Co Chairs of the Pacoima Relay For Life!

At the event,our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Safer Homes Program promotoras Amelia Tena and Maria Guzman,are very proud to be the Co Chairs of the Relay For life of Pacoima,this is been a great experience to get the community engage,to Celebrate,Remember,and Fight Back for the second year. Hopefully every one have fun and feel inspire by so many survivors,and continue having hope to celebrate more Birthday’s.
My Reason to Relay
I am participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life because I want to make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.
Almost everyone has been touched by cancer,either through their own personal battle or through someone they love.
Every day,the American Cancer Society is helping us stay well by preventing cancer or finding it at its earliest,most treatable stages. They assist families in finding the best resources to help their friend or loved one deal with a diagnosis and their journey to get well. The American Cancer Society is also rallying communities like Pacoima! through events like Relay For Life,to fight back and find cures for this disease.
