Members Sofia and Maria at Relay 4 Life
From 9am Saturday morning to 9am Sunday morning,Pacoima Beautiful’s staff and members were pleased to be part of the incredibly successful Pacoima Relay 4 Life! Our amazing Safer Homes staff,Amelia and Maria,co-chaired the event and did an incredible job,putting in hours and hours of volunteer time to make the event a success. Many thanks to all the participating staff,Ozzy (our team captain),Brenda (who put in way more than her fair share of hours!),Imelda (who took on the critical late night shift),Polo (manning the hot afternoon shift),Veronica (keeping it going in the evening),Lauren,and our interns David and Freddy. David was also on the Relay 4 Life committee and did an amazing job! Freddy documented the event –look for more pictures soon! Brenda’s sister Lili was the only person to walk the full 24 hour relay –stupendous!

The event raised almost $14,000 dollars to support the American Cancer Society. There were 18 teams and over 150 participants. Great job,everyone!
