Diego believes youth play an important role in the decision making of their community. As Youth Coordinator, he develops youth programs and works to ensure proper execution of all grant deliverables. Diego also assists students and their families by increasing academic performance through the Family Source Center (FSC) homework support program. Additionally, he fosters the leadership development required to make environmental change happen by supporting PB’s Youth United Towards Environmental Protection (YUTEP) youth group. His goals are to raise awareness of the environmental challenges in the North East San Fernando Valley communities and prepare Pacoima’s future environmental advocates. Diego is a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a double major in Political Science and Central American Studies.
