The Clean Air Ambassador Program is supported by the Transformative Climate Communities grant and is part of the Community Engagement Plan to educate and empower community residents around environmental justice and equity while teaching them how to understand air quality data.

Over a 3-month program, students are loaned a personal Airbeam, recording data on a weekly basis and learning how to read the data regarding particulate matter 2.5.

This knowledge-sharing gives people a deeper understanding of how air quality could impact health and gives them tools and resources to further delve into air quality issues, especially for those that may experience respiratory problems. We partner with other health organizations to host educational training on a variety of subjects to further health justice education.
