Mother's Day at Descanso Gardens

Each year, we take a group of mothers from the Pacoima community on a special trip to Descanso Gardens to celebrate Mother’s Day and honor their care, strength, and leadership within their families.

This experience is designed to provide families with a dedicated space for nature-based recreation and meaningful multi-generational bonding. By offering access to the world-class botanical landscapes of Descanso Gardens, participants are able to enjoy unstructured time to explore, relax, play, and connect with the natural environment.

More than a celebration, this outing promotes wellness, joy, and equitable access to green spaces—creating lasting memories in a peaceful and beautiful setting.
