People's Collaborative Academy

Pacoima Beautiful is looking for 20 community members who are 18 years or older and and live, go to school, or work in Pacoima, Arleta, or Panorama City. We're excited to invite you to be a part of a FREE program that will teach you what you need to know about urban planning, break down how development projects work and why they take so long, and show how we can work together to get involved in environmentally resilient projects.

Learn About:

• Development projects and urban design principles
• Climate change impacts and environmental justice
• Parks and open space
• Watersheds, storm drain systems, water supply, and water quality
• Gentrification & displacement and the role of affordable housing
• Innovative and sustainable water technologies
   

Over 10 weeks, we'll dive into the ins and outs of being active in development projects and speaking up for what you believe in. Whether you're new to this or already have some experience, we're here to equip you with the know-how to make a difference. Join Pacoima Beautiful’s People's Collaborative Academy as we team up to make our city even better through community driven development.
