In partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), we’re working to raise awareness about RAP’s vital role in our city and to gather input from a broad and diverse cross-section of Angelenos. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for communities across Los Angeles to share feedback on the Park Needs Assessment.
The Park Needs Assessment will serve as a roadmap for just and equitable investment in parks and recreation—ensuring that every community has fair access to quality green spaces now and in the future. We invite you to be part of this important planning process! You can participate by attending a community event or pop-up or sharing your thoughts, concerns, and bold ideas directly with the team.
We’re currently in Phase 2 of the project — the evaluation phase. The City is reviewing the 10,000+ survey responses received and using that feedback to develop a draft assessment, expected to be released by early fall 2025.
Visit needs.parks.lacity.gov to learn more about the results of the survey and stay up to date on upcoming meetings and events.
