LOS ANGELES — As the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference kicks off in Dubai, local community organizations are also launching new efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality, particularly neighborhoods that are most susceptible to high pollution.

A coalition of South Los Angeles organizations is teaming together to launch a new e-bike library pilot called Power Up South Central, based on a similar initiative called Electro-Bici in Pacoima.

E-BICI PROGRAM SUCCESSES AT A GLANCE:
Celebrating 1.5 years of Electro Bici by Pacoima Beautiful! 🚲 Thanks to our partners, Bike Shop staff, and community for their dedication. Special shoutout to LADWP for sponsoring the first e-bike program in the Northeast San Fernando Valley.

Our partnership with HACLA at San Fernando Gardens has made a big impact, providing a central Bike Shop location in Pacoima. Bradley Plaza, steps away, is our safe space for training and Community Bike Rides.

We've trained 45+ members, with 30 bikes actively serving the community. Our goal is to continue free micro-transportation in the Northeast San Fernando Valley.
