April 30, 2026 | Whiteman Airport Community Meeting
Together with the NEST Coalition, we hosted a community meeting on Whiteman Airport focused on noise concerns and environmental safety. Residents learned about airport-related impacts, including potential health and environmental concerns, and heard mitigation strategies presented by ICON CDC. Most importantly, community members shared how aircraft noise affects their daily lives and voiced concerns about leaded aviation fuel and air quality.

December 3, 2025 | Whiteman Airport Open House
The Los Angeles County Depart of Economic Opportunity hosted an open house for Pacoima residents, partners, and stakeholders to learn about their land use study and economic analysis of Whiteman Airport. Many of our community members and students attended to voice their concerns about the airport and give their input on what their priorities are within the community.
The Problem with Whiteman Airport
Join the fight for a safe, sustainable, green and healthy San Fernando Valley. The rate of airplane crashes in our community is alarming. Since 2020, there has been three airplane crashes in our community. Two of which have been fatal. That is why we are demanding that Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors prioritize the public safety of Pacoima residents and immediately Shutdown Whiteman airport.
