Shona Calzada Ganguly navigates California’s environmental policy with an intersectional, equity-driven approach to climate action. She specializes in partnerships, outreach, urban conservation, nature-based solutions, regional funding, and policy advocacy. She is currently a Principal at Better World Group, leading the Rights of and Connection to Nature portfolio. She has served as President of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters since 2021, having previously served as Vice President and Communications Chair after joining the board in 2015. She spent nearly 12 years in External Affairs at The Nature Conservancy, managing government relations and leading campaigns for key environmental measures.
Shona holds degrees from UC Berkeley (BA), Claremont Graduate University (MA), and the Drucker School of Management (MBA). She also advises her family business, Pia Ka Ghar, supporting women’s empowerment and international development. A passionate traveler, language learner, foodie, yogi, and lifelong dancer, she lives in Shadow Hills, Los Angeles, with her husband, three sons, and two Husky-Malamute-Shepherds.
